CHEMKO CBO is a Community Based Organization, Non-Profit and Non Governmental initiated in 10th October 2020, whose location is within the sugar belt of Chemelil, Muhoroni and Koru Locations respectively. The marginalized members in Muhoroni are not easily accepted in the community and in most cases most of them don’t know their rights which is often violated. The rate of stigma and discrimination which is always directed to the LGBTIQ person is very high leaving them very vulnerable to stigma, discriminations and mental health issues.

In this regard Chemko CBO was formed to address challenges facing the LGBTIQ’s to bring them together for various activities i.e health, skills and career development, lobby, advocacy, reporting, documentation and spiritual nourishment. The group also participate in integrated activities to achieve quality livelihood and be self-sustainable
